Plains and Ridges
The District shows a rolling land with hills and ridges. The relief can be categorised in to three divisions i.e.
· The Densu Plains;
· The Ponpon Narrow Land; and
· The Akuapem and Togo Ridge. The ridge rises over 1000 ft at Aburi.
Rivers
The Densu River and its tributary rivers and streams drain the District. The Densu River is 115.8 km long and takes its sources from Atiwa Mountain Ranges near Kibi in the Eastern River.
