The proximity of the District to the national capital Accra is a for marketing products from the district. Accra has a higher cost of production and living, Akuapem South District on the other hand has a lower costs schedule on land, rent, labour and other bills.
The district has more than adequate farmland for crops especially pineapples, pawpaw, vegetables, maize
and cassava. The district has a lot of potential for export of these non-traditional export crops.
